Dennoch gute Nachrichten denn die Dark SoulsTM: Prepare to Die™ Edition für PC ist ab sofort im Handel, über Steam und auf dem Games for Windows Marketplace erhältlich. Die mit neuen Inhalten erweiterte Version des vielfach ausgezeichneten Action-RPGs von FromSoftware ist auf die Bedürfnisse von PC-Spielern angepasst worden, enthält aber weiterhin die gleiche spielerische Herausforderung, dichte Atmosphäre und das packende Gameplay, die das Originalspiel zum weltweiten Hit haben werden lassen.
Die Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition für PC bietet einen erweiterten PVP-Modus, neue Karten und Umgebungen, neue Boss-Gegner, Feinde und Nicht-Spieler-Charaktere, ein Arsenal neuer Waffen und Rüstungen sowie zusätzliche Herausforderungen für mutige Helden, die in die tödliche Welt von Lordran zurückkehren. Der Spieler wird ein bisher unveröffentlichtes Kapitel in der Welt von Dark Souls erleben, angesiedelt in dem sterbenden Königreich der Magie Oolacile. Die Erstauslieferungsmenge enthält zusätzlich ein Artbook mit Bildern aus dem neuen Artorias of the Abyss Spielinhalt, den originalen Soundtrack auf CD, eine DVD mit allen Behind-the-Scenes-Videos sowie ein Poster und Postkarten.
